Senior Planet Technology Training Workshops for Older Adults
A Program of OATS (Older Adults Technology Services) from AARP.
Comprehensive technology training workshops designed specifically for adults 60 and older to bridge the digital divide and enhance quality of life through practical digital skills. These free interactive classes cover everything from basic computer skills—including how to start, stop, mute, and enlarge YouTube videos—to more advanced technology applications.
Financial Security
Digital banking, online shopping, money management tools, and financial safety
Social Engagement
Using technology to connect with family and friends, video calling, and social media basics
Health & Wellness
Telemedicine apps, health tracking, plus virtual fitness classes including tai chi, yoga, and movement
Technology Fundamentals
Amazon shopping, Google Maps navigation, Zoom hosting, smartphone basics, and online security
Creative Expression
Digital art platforms, content creation, and sharing creative work online

Workshops are conducted on a continuing basis on the following dates and times:

A Digital Learning Hub for Adults, Entrepreneurs, Youth, and Families
The Dunbar Tech Lab is a modern, community-centered space designed to close the digital divide and support lifelong learning. Whether you’re starting a business, completing a school assignment, applying for a job, or simply learning a new digital skill—the Tech Lab is here for you.
The Tech Lab provides:

Become a Senior Planet Volunteer

We’re growing fast—and we need caring, patient volunteers who believe in community, lifelong learning, and giving back.
Volunteer roles include:
Tech Trainers
Lead classes, support participants with hands-on guidance, and help teach digital skills that improve quality of life.
Class Assistants
Provide one-on-one help during Senior Planet sessions, assist with setup, and support a positive classroom experience.
Digital Helpers
Offer drop-in assistance in the Tech Lab with basic tech questions, online forms, and device troubleshooting.
You don’t need to be a “tech expert”—just someone who enjoys teaching and connecting.
